Bangladesh has more than 200 student consultancies. If each sends about 45 students in each of four semesters, roughly 9,000 a year is achievable. AJLIB (active since 2019) accounts for over 70% of students, and AJLIB with BSSAJ over 90% — so a joint plan of the two is the route to delivery.

What has to happen
- An urgent joint AJLIB–BSSAJ meeting; an online meeting with the Ambassador.
- Links with good JASSO-approved language schools and quality improvement for students.
- An international education fair with the Embassy, showing Bangladeshi students' skills to representatives of Japanese institutions.
- Fixing the VFS lodgement process — Japanese schools have warned they will not take Bangladeshi students next semester if arrivals keep running one or two months late.
提言
